The Balloon

I'm back in Orange County, CA house hunting. The area I'm looking at wraps around the future Great Park in Irvine. (This is also the site of my future dream home). As I drove around I noticed the Great Park Balloon overhead. I've been meaning to go up in it months ago but just never had the chance to. Well, here's my chance! All it took was a little detour. So I finally got to get in it and I'm glad I had my camera with me. Check it out!

They estimate that it's gonna take about 3 years to remove the over 500 acres of runway concrete. The neat part about it is that they will keep one of the main strips that will be incorporated into the park. The image you're looking at below will soon be history. Literally.

Man, I didn't even know that was there. Very cool. I hope to join you there in 3-4 years. I want my kids to live in that area. Merry Christmas!

We may end up being neighbors! We're shopping around that area as well. Hoping to postpone the buying until after the wedding though just to keep the chaos level down.

Hi Jan

Irvine is definitely a great area and school district. Merry Christmas to you too!

Linda

Have you settled on the exact spot? Things just keep better for buyers.

Maybe we'll all be neighbors!!!

Cool pictures of the Orange County landscape. I love that first one with the balloon and the sky, it's very dramatic.

Greg,

Brian and I live right next door in Woodbury. We love it and there are some really great play areas for the kiddies to run around. Maybe we'll see you on the street... - Two Hams in Pasadena

We haven't settled on the exact spot yet, but we're concentrating on that new Great Park area and Northwood Glen, because the homes adjacent to Kevin's parents keep going on the market. Plus Northwood Glen has the most laid back HOA in Irvine that I have ever seen!

Keep me posted Linda. I'm so ready to buy, we're just seeing if anyone would give us better incentives!

Ohhh hey... that's right by where I work! If you move around that area, I can just send my referrals down the street perhaps hahaha.

Chiara yes! And then they can drive down the street to you and have their invitations done by you!
